Lock/Wipe data, ring remotely and locate you Android phone with Android Device manager the new virtual COP


Android devices are a trend in the world of Technology.But the worst nightmare is your phone getting stolen or say you had ten to twenty shots of tequila since it was your 21st birthday and you passed out in the bar and misplaced your phone in bar.You will miss the entertainment,contacts,your personnel stuffs and some important documents if you use your phone for business purpose.But is there a solution for this?

The Answer is Android device manager a genuine tool designed by Google to help their precious customers to locate their phones.

Here is a overview of this tool:- 
  1. when you buy an Android mobile you create a Google account to get access to the play store.
  2. So by default this feature is pre-installed in your phone there is no need to worry at all.
  3. If you misplace your phone just head over to the Android device Manager website and sign in with the same Google account on which your phone is being registered.
  4. Once you sign in Google will automatically start locating your phone on the Map and show you an accurate result.
Apart from this you have three more options:-
  1. Ring :- once you click on this your phone will start ringing on full volume level for 5 minutes even if the profile of your phone is on silent mode. By this you can find your phone if you misplace it in your house.
  2. Lock:- If your phone is stolen then you can lock the phone remotely with a password from the computer just click on the lock tab and put the password in it.
  3. Erase:- If there is are no chances of your phone getting detected then you can go for the final option which is erase.This option will erase all the data on your phone.
Note :- For this to work the device should be connected to internet and the GPS should be on,well everybody uses an internet connection.So there is no need to worry.

Important :- for the remote Lock and Erase features open Google settings in your phone
 Now go to Android device manager
Check the box which says Allow remote lock and factory reset.If remotely locate is not checked,then check 
the box

Brown :- Name/Model of your device
Sky blue :- Location 
black :- Click on ring to remotely ring your device.
Red:- Click on Lock to lock your device with password.
Blue(is it purple or blue? gosh! I think i am color blind now.):- Click on erase to wipe all the data in the phone.
